3. Scope and general information
This website is a purely editorial press and news platform. We use it to publish press releases, corporate news and campaign material and to make images and media assets available for download. We do not operate an online shop here, we do not run any customer accounts and we do not collect any customer data on this site. No analytics, advertising or social media services are integrated, no videos or maps are embedded, and no captcha service is used. Fonts (Inter, Oswald) are hosted on our own servers.
4. Server log data
When you access this website, your browser automatically transmits technical information which is stored temporarily in server log files: IP address, date and time of the server request (timestamp), the URL requested, browser type and version (user agent), referrer URL and HTTP status code. The technical operation of the website also generates invocation logs of the serverless functions used to deliver the site. Purposes: ensuring the security of our IT systems, defending against attacks on this online offering, and ensuring the proper technical operation of the website. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and error-free provision of this website. Storage period: log data are deleted after 30 days at the latest. Provision of data: the transmission of this data is technically necessary in order to display the website. There is no statutory or contractual obligation to provide it, but without it the website cannot be accessed.
5. Cookies
We do not use any cookies requiring consent and no tracking, profiling or analytics technologies on this website. In the editorial administration area, which is accessible to authorised SNIPES users only, session cookies may be set for login and session management. These cookies are strictly necessary to provide the service expressly requested by the user (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG) and are deleted at the end of the session at the latest. Legal basis for any processing of personal data connected with these cookies: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (secure operation of the editorial system).
6. Contacting us / press enquiries
If you contact us by e-mail ( press@snipes.com ) or by telephone (+49 (0) 221 977 79 0), we process the data you provide (e.g. your name, e-mail address, telephone number, media outlet, content of your enquiry) solely in order to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to press and media enquiries); where your enquiry aims at concluding or performing a contract, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Storage period: we store your enquiry only for as long as is necessary to deal with it and delete it thereafter, unless statutory retention obligations (in particular under the German Commercial Code and Fiscal Code) apply. Please note: the contact details on this website are intended exclusively for media enquiries. For questions regarding orders, returns or stores, please contact our Customer Service team.
7. Recipients of data
Personal data are processed within SNIPES SE. For the hosting, delivery, caching, DNS resolution and image delivery of this website we use Cloudflare, Inc. as a processor acting on our behalf and strictly on our instructions on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Further IT service providers may be engaged for maintenance purposes on the same contractual basis. Beyond this, we do not disclose your data to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or such disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. Transfers to third countries
This website is delivered via a globally distributed edge network. Requests are therefore processed at the network location closest to the user, which may be located outside the European Union / European Economic Area. To the extent that personal data (in particular IP address and the log data listed in section 4) are processed in a third country, this takes place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission pursuant to Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR, which form part of our data processing agreement with our provider, supplemented by additional technical and organisational safeguards (in particular transport encryption). In addition, Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU US Data Privacy Framework.
9. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
10. Your rights
You have the right to obtain access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to such processing on grounds relating to your particular situation. An e-mail to dsb@deichmann.com is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
