SNIPES celebrates its 25th anniversary together with Wesley Snipes
Cologne. 04.04.2023. SNIPES, one of the leading companies in the streetwear and sneaker industry, is celebrating its 25th birthday today with a big bang! In the wake of the 25th anniversary, SNIPES has been able to win actor Wesley Snipes as a testimonial for the birthday campaign. The actor, who shares the same name as the company, is here to tell the story and vision of the retailer in an entertaining and apt way. The company has written an impressive success story over the past 25 years and is well on its way to becoming the global symbol for street culture.
Within the last 25 years, SNIPES expanded greatly and is now present in eleven European countries. In addition, the company made its first steps into the US in 2019: by acquiring three well-known retailers in the States, SNIPES was able to increase its global door count to over 700 stores. And that’s just the beginning: SNIPES founder and CEO Sven Voth sees great potential and emphasizes: “25 years of SNIPES are an important milestone, but we are far from reaching our goal! This summer, we are opening a store in Miami together with our CCO DJ Khaled. We are also currently strengthening our management structure and launching a major project in the e-com department later this year. I’m proud of what we’ve created so far and thankful for everyone who has joined us on this journey!”
As part of the anniversary, SNIPES is dropping an exclusive and strictly limited premium capsule collection featuring two key brands for the company, Karl Kani and Pegador. In addition to the collaboration with namesake Wesley Snipes, SNIPES is implementing other marketing measures: These include workshops in selected stores. Here, the community can emboss personalized leather accessories with the anniversary logo on selected items. In addition, a plane with the campaign claim “No Culture Without Community” will fly over four of the key cities in Europe.
For SNIPES, the community is always in the center of attention and the company would like to thank them with a big raffle as part of the anniversary. The main prize is a trip to Miami.
